as the topic title suggest, ladies, what make you choose to shave and why not?

and guies, what sort of ladies you prefer, shave and not shave, and why?

I don't shave because it makes the hair on your arms, legs and anywhere else on your body worse than they already are. Plus, I'm not that hairy, but hairy enough to shave, but of course I'm not doing it...

I shave partly because that is the social norm, (at least where I am), and because I like the feeling of my skin after a shave, and it is neater, cleaner, and cooler!

Ok, to give a male perspective. Girls, in my opinion, should shave, its just better. First, its sexier, plain and simple. Second, if you wear something revealing, no one wants to see a bunch of hair hanging out, that's gross. Then, it feels better in certain, physical situations.
I personally think the legs should be shaven as often as possible, along with the armpits. Between the legs is kind of hit or miss, trimming is fine, and I actually prefer it then just straight shaving, but I understand its tedious.
Just so you know though, girls, if your ever having sex with your boyfriend or whomever, and you aren't shaven, your probably hurting him. If you'd like to know how much, find a very sensative part of your body, and scrape sandpaper over it until you have an orgasm.

I shave often. I like the way my skin feels after shaving. It just makes sense to shave if you're planning to show some skin.

Well, people don't look under my arms so I'm not worried about it for now, but one of these days I will.

I shave or trim what needs to be taken care of if it's going to be seen or touched. Boys, it goes for you, too - if you're having some fun with a girl and you're all stubble and coarse body hair, it's a turn off. Keep shaven or at least trimmed.

Depends on how hairy you are and what parts we are talking about. Legs, I like shaved if you are hairy, but if you just have light hair and it's soft, and many women do leave it if you wear stockings. Under arms is nice. Between the legs depends. I don't mine hair, but trim it so it's not shaggy or long, nicely trimmed is nice to feel. If you are going to shave it use something that doesn't leave stubble, or leave it alone trimmed. Face, and yes some women have face hair remove that. I don't like kissing someone with a beard better then mine. Arms, I've not known a women with enough hair on her arms to shave it, so I suppose if you do, then do so. Last the back. Depends. If you are wearing mid riff shirts you should shave it.

I shave my legs and armpits and trim between my legs. I really don't care whether someone's going to see these parts or not, I shave and trim because it makes me feel cleaner. I do not understand when women shave or get waxing done between their legs. Being nearly bald down there just doesn't feel right. I feel that hair in that area is part of my womanhood.

And, with all this, during the 1980s the feministas used to claim it was men 'forced' women to shave and that because it made them look like little girls. Now of course they did not claim the opposite, aka that when men shaved it made them look like little boys, but ah how times are a'changin'. Mighty amusing.
Shaving started for women in the 1920s with the innovation of Nylon as a material for apparel in particular nylon stockings ... before that it was unheard of.

i rather be bald down there. i'm sorry but i don't want to deal with period stuff colecting there. + the heat and stuff doesn't help.

I know most of us who have poste here are women, but if someone could please offer some advice by talking to me about shaving in that particular region via private message, I'd rather not discuss it in detail here. I'll only say that i've aske my mother for advice on shaving down there and hse has always told me not to do it. There's got to be a safe way to remove hair without causing a lot of irritation of the skin because it's so sensitive. Pointers welcome. Thank you.

I prefer shaved ones. but not the legs or hands, mainly under the arms and privates.

post 12: there's lots of misk on shaving/trimming specially the private part. i think trimming might be the way to start for you if you afraid of irritation and stuff. try google it, should give you some great guideline on how to do it and stuff like that.

if i have or trim will be more for the hyginic side of the things, instead of either its sexy or not.

I shave my legs and armpits, and all the hair down there. I feel like its so so so much cleaner especially during your period as someone stated above. I only do it every few days though because if I did it to much it would become irratated. I shave my legs because they feel so smooth and sexy afterward, and my armpits because noone wants to see nasty hair when your wearing a tanktop and you raise your arms. But that's just my opinion. I don't worry about the arms.

Post 16 by Reyami (I've broken five thousand! any more awards going?) on Tuesday, 21-Sep-2010 18:23:25

not to mention, all that hair in the underarm region holds in body odor, so if you raise your arms and you're wearing a tank top ... yuck ...

LOL, yep, I think this is part of the reason men sweat and well, um, smell easier? LOL, though I do not want a shaved man, (referring to genetalia and stuff, but I like the face shaved). Trimmed is nice...depending on where we are talking about. Far as myself, under arms; (already said why...), legs; (norm for this area, and I do not like to be seen as against the social norms...to many people assume if you are against the norms and have an obvious "problem" that the "problem" is the reason, and i do not like pitty, besides, it feels nicer to me and my husband), and between the legs, (cooler, cleaner, and again, my husband likes it). Honestly, shaving the genetalia makes sex feel better, no hair interfeering with the sensations. :)

I have read that Asian women are paying good money to have between their legs thickened up. Trimmed yes, but they are having operations to add more hair. These that shave should start a market for human hair.

Post 19 by Marissapc2010 (Zone BBS is my Life) on Thursday, 23-Sep-2010 13:40:23

they want to add more hair? really? intresting.

Interesting post Raj. I'd agree with the above posts regarding underarms. B.O. Yuck! Shower, shave, and deodorant should solve that problem.

From another male perspective... (It was not asked for, but, I thought I'd chime in anyways.) I like it when a girl shaves her legs and especially under her arms. It's nice to touch smooth legs. I think it's a turn on. regarding another specific area, a trim is fine with me. It's nice to have some hair there. I used to be a fan of the girl being totally bare in that area, however, if it's not done right, or not done enough, and the hair has started to come back a bit, it can be very sharp. Needless to say, after intercourse a few times where I encountered this situation, I went through days of hell because the hair had cut me raw, which I did not notice until we had finished. so, I've revised my position on that and now say that natural is fine, unless it's really thick, then a trim is all you need, just not short enough to cause trauma!
